Oct. 21 is canceled. Join us on Nov. 12!

Our October 21 show is canceled as 505 Spirits closed abruptly last week. We were unable to find a new home for the show on such short notice.

So, join us at Canteen Brewhouse on Sunday, Nov. 12 (4-7p). We’ll have new songs to share, and it will likely be our last show until February or March, as we shift gears to recording an album.

I have finished writing for the record (I think), and among the batch of 15 or so songs is a record we’ll be proud of. I’ll share more info when I can.

Rio Bravo Brewing on 08.24

Join us at Rio Bravo for our first show with our new keyboard/accordion player, Ryan Goodhue, who you might know from his killer playing and singing with the The High Desert Playboys. We have new originals to share and some new Tex-Mex action to spice things up. Can’t wait to get back out again.

Canteen on July 16

Looking very forward to our next show: July 16 at Canteen Brewhouse with Mineral Hill. We’re on at 4p, Mineral Hill at 5:30p. Join us!

Two shows in May

Join us at our next two shows.

May 6 at Dos Leones (316 Tulane Dr SE in Nob Hill).
David + Nikelle Garcia are putting on a great show in their outdoor space. We share the bill with The Reelers (an Irish trad/rock band made up of RFABQ’s Casey and Dave with David and Nikelle, and Justin McLaughlin), The David Garcia Band, The Ordinary Things, and Randomatics.
Show is 4-10p, we’ll likely be on around 6:30 or 7:00p. Email with questions!
More info at Facebook.

May 19 at High & Dry
6-8p or 7-9p – TBD. We’ll decide on the start time as the date gets closer.

“Please allow me to introduce myself…”

L-R: Dave Purcell, Paul Milazzo, Travis Rourk, Casey Mraz, Scott Brewer

Hello, Albuquerque. We’re Radio Free ABQ, a new band that will debut at the end of January. You might know us from bands like Dust City Opera, Casey Mraz & Los Metamorfos, Baracutanga, and the David Garcia Band. Maybe you’ve tipped pints with us at a local venue while we dig one of the area’s great bands.

Because our marketing department demands a tagline, we call ourselves “indie Americana without borders.” It means we’re inspired by artists who aren’t afraid to blend genres, eras, and influences in the pursuit of writing great songs and putting on exceptional performances.

Join us and find out for yourself — our first two shows are:

Friday, January 20 – Tractor Los Lunas, 7-9p

Saturday, January 28 – Echoes Brewing (formerly the Burt’s Tiki Lounge space on Gold Ave downtown), 7-9p

While you’re here, please sign up for our email list, and follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Thanks for listening. We’ll see you soon…
